Elijah Barayi Memorial Training Centre is looking to appoint a suitably qualified candidate for the following position: 

EXTERNAL CANDIDATES

Job Title: General Manager 

The purpose of this position is to manage the operations of the College to ensure efficient use of all company resources.

REQUIREMENTS

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance or related studies.
  • Qualification or Certificate in Governance and Compliance.

Minimum Experience:

  • A minimum of (10) ten years’ managerial experience.

Competencies:

  • Knowledge and understanding of KING IV Standards on Governance.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Performance Management System.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Risk Management.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Labour Relations Act.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Budget and Finance Management

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Develop an Annual operating plan that support Institution’s long-term strategy.
  • Development, implementation and direction of budgets.
  • Contract Management.
  • Overall Financial Management of the College.
  • Management and Safeguarding of Assets.
  • Marketing the College.
  • Benchmark and implement best practices and ensure effective and efficient performance of the College.
  • Monitor Performance, take corrective measures when necessary and prepare detailed updates and forecasts.
  • Manage and analyse internal operations and identify areas of improvements.
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with relevant stakeholders.
  • Report to board frequently and present necessary or relevant information to enable such structures to discharge their duties/roles.

 

Basic Salary: Marketed related plus benefits (medical aid, pension, housing and car allowance).
