Purpose of the Course
- To deepen the understanding and the importance of the Labour Laws and other legislations.
- Develop an understanding of the Trade Union approach to the Law.
- Labour Law as an organizing tool.
Content
- Flexible Syllabus that would include: dismissals and disputes under the LRA, dealing with dismissals at the workplace, procedures for referring disputes for resolution e.g. CCMA, and Bargaining council.
Target
- Full- time and other Stewards who have not attended this course, especially those deeply involved in representing members in disciplinary cases at workplace level up to Conciliation /Arbitration hearings.
