Purpose of the Course
- To deepen the understanding and the importance of the labour Laws and other legislations
- Develop an understanding of the Trade Union approach to the Law
- Labour Law as an organising tool
Content
- Flexible Syllabus that would include: dismissals and disputes under the LRA, dealing with dismissals at the workplace.
- Procedures for referring disputes for resolution e.g. CCMA and Bargaining councils.
Target
- Full-time and other Stewards who have not attended this course, especially those deeply involved in representing members in disciplinary cases at workplace level up to Conciliation/Arbitration hearings.
